I am sure that a lot of you are curious about my work. When someone asks me about what I do, they usually think that I am a bum when I say that I am a freelancer. Some people do not realise that this is a real job and it takes a lot of hard work to be as busy as I am.

There are people who think that I am lucky that I have this type of career. Well, it does have its perks. I like the fact that I can work anywhere and anytime I want to. But this freedom has a couple of responsibilities too. I need to make sure that I am always occupied. Without clients, I will not earn. I really need to impress my clients so they will keep hiring me for the job. That burden can be stressful. But then again, I like what I am doing so I naturally want to do a good job all the time.

Most people are confused about my work as a social media manager. Basically, my work involves creating, implementing, and monitoring social media campaigns. Most of my clients have their own social media accounts and it is my job to make sure engagement is high.

My job involves a lot of things. I have to create content to post on various social media sites. I also need to make sure that the content will help reach the goals of my clients. My Life In Sheffield

I love my life in Sheffield. I was born and raised here and I have never lived anywhere. There may be times when I considered moving somewhere else – but I just do not have enough motivation to do it. After all, my family and friends are here. I do not think I would want to live in another city and be away from there.

Sheffield is part of the third largest district in England. It is a city in South Yorkshire. I know that the name of the city comes from the River Sheaf – which incidentally runs through the city.

So what is my life in Sheffield like?

Well, my days are often times filled with work. As I mentioned, I am a freelance social media marketer. My clients are not necessarily in Sheffield too. I have one or two clients that run a local business in the city. But other than that, my other clients are scattered all over the world. All of my current projects are keeping me busy – but I am not complaining. The more clients, the better it would be for me.Most of the time, I work at home. But there are days when I choose to work outside. There is this quaint cafe near my place that I love to go to. I spend an afternoon there with my earphones to drown the outside noise. I find myself to be more productive whenever I work outside. But unfortunately, this is not always possible.

The weather is not always cooperative – sometimes it can be too cold. However, the people in Sheffield are really friendly and I like socialising whenever I am outside. I’d like to think that I am outgoing enough to be able to make friends easily.

When I am not working I usually go to pubs and hang out with my friends. The pubs here in Sheffield serve some of the best ales in England. Of course, the opportunity to socialise is the main reason to visit these pubs. That is just how the English do it.

So what are my favourite places in Sheffield? When the weather permits it, I like going to the Peak District National Park. I love how it has stunning landscapes. Despite the fact that we do not have any beach here, we do have 5 rivers and millions of trees that help us relax. When I find myself feeling too stressed, I find that being in the midst of nature helps me relax.There are also times when I visit the many art galleries in Sheffield. It gives me a lot of ideas – especially when I need to come up with a great social media marketing strategy for one of my clients.
